at Pines Ballroom, Bloomer WI, 7-11 pm. Elvis will be in the house so please join us for fun, music, dancing, a meal if you like and an all around good time! An Evening with Jeff Daniels at The Heyde Center for the Arts
Friday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m. A consummate actor, director, playwright and musician, Jeff Daniels has starred in a number of productions on and off Broadway. He was nominated in 2009 for a Tony Award as Best Actor for his role in the 2009 award-winning play God of Carnage. His film credits include Woody Allen’s The Purple Rose of Cairo, Terms of Endearment, Dumb and Dumber and The Squid and the Whale. Daniels is founder of The Purple Rose Theatre Company in his hometown of Chelsea, Michigan where he wrote, directed and appeared in Escanaba in Da Moonlight – a Heyde Center 2007 hit. S Wonderful at the Heyde Center for the Arts
'S Wonderful: The New Gershwin Musical Created and Directed by Ray Roderick TWO SHOWS Sunday, November 14 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Following I Love a Piano and In the Mood: a 40s Musical Revue, this is the third traveling Broadway show to grace the Heyde Center stage. An all singing, all dancing brand-new musical revue of the genius of George and Ira Gershwin, the show features five mini-musicals that span the decades from the 1920s to the present, and sets each segment in different cities, including New York, Paris and New Orleans. Songs include, “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off”, “Someone to Watch Over Me”, and “Rhapsody in Blue.” An engaging ride to the times and musical styles that made the Gershwin brothers the most successful songwriting team in the history of popular music.
