HORSEBACK RIDING TRAILS

Hay Meadow Trail:

This 8.75 mile equestrian trail winds through scenic northern hardwood forests. The rolling glacial moraine in the area offers constant changes in the terrain and landscapes. Riders will pass by many lakes, ponds and woodland streams on this truly scenic trail. It is located in the southwest section of the Chippewa County Forest with trailhead, parking area, and pit toilets located approximately 1 mile north of the Bob Lake Road on the Hay Meadow Trail. Check out the trail map at the Chippewa County site.

Old Abe Trail:

Along side part of the paved trail is 6 miles of beautiful equestrian trail.
The trail winds through agricultural and forestland while following the undeveloped shoreline of the Chippewa River. Begin your trail experience at either trailhead on 97th Ave (junction of Hwy S & Hwy O) or at the Anson Town Hall in Jim Falls.

Lake Wissota State Park:

There is an 11-mile, horse trail maintained within the park. For more information contact (715) 382-4574.
