Prevail Bank Shred Event Helps Hope Village with 1,247 Donation

As a result of Prevail Bank’s Community Shred Day event in Eau Claire, $1,247 was raised for Hope Village of Chippewa Falls. Hope Village supports homeless guests with a tiny home alternative, mentoring, and additional education, so they may journey back to independent living.

Prevail Bank pledged $1, up to $1,000, for every pound of paper brought to be shredded; and the community rose to the challenge, bringing in a whopping 4,000 pounds of paper to be safely destroyed and recycled! The public chipped in an additional $247 in donations, bringing the total gift to $1,247.

A special check presentation was held at Hope Village. Mike Cohoon, Hope Village Director (second from left) and Vicky Loeffelholz, Hope Village Navigator (third from left) accepted the check from Prevail Bank professionals, Brenda Trump, Jenni Bernal, and Andrew Balthazor.

“This event was a win-win,” said Jenni Bernal, Prevail Bank Branch Manager. “We helped people protect their personal information while supporting a cause that makes a real difference right here in our community.”

Prevail Bank is a community bank that is continuously looking for ways to give back, support those pursuing dreams, and make things better in central Wisconsin.
