Village of Lake Hallie Adopts H.A.L.L.I.E. Core Values to Guide Public Service

The Village of Lake Hallie has officially adopted a new set of organizational core values designed to guide decision-making, strengthen organizational culture, and reinforce its commitment to exceptional public service.

Approved by the Village Board, the new values are represented by the acronym H.A.L.L.I.E., reflecting the principles that will serve as the foundation for the Village’s work today and for generations to come.

H.A.L.L.I.E.

Hospitality: We welcome every resident, business, employee, and visitor with respect, responsiveness, and a commitment to outstanding public service.

Accountability: We are responsible stewards of the public’s trust, making transparent decisions and managing community resources wisely.

Leadership: We lead with integrity, collaboration, and a shared vision that strengthens our organization and community.

Legacy: We honor our Village’s history while making thoughtful decisions that leave Lake Hallie stronger for future generations.

Integrity: We uphold the highest ethical standards, treating everyone with fairness, honesty, and respect.

Excellence: We continuously improve, embrace innovation, and strive to exceed expectations in everything we do.

“The adoption of these core values is about more than creating a memorable acronym,” said Anastasia Stueber, Administrator/Clerk-Treasurer. “It establishes a shared commitment for everyone who serves the Village. Whether interacting with residents at the front counter, maintaining our infrastructure, protecting public safety, or making policy decisions, these values remind us that every action contributes to the trust our community places in us.”

Chief of Police, Jesse James, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “Core Values should be a part of every organization. These core values will help establish a moral compass to follow. By putting H.A.L.L.I.E. core values into action, they will develop cohesion, reduce conflicts, bring accountability and a sense of purpose to all Village employees.”

The H.A.L.L.I.E. Core Values will be integrated throughout Village operations, including employee recruitment, onboarding, leadership development, strategic planning, performance management, and community engagement initiatives. The values will also serve as a guiding framework for organizational decision-making and customer service across all departments.

The adoption of the H.A.L.L.I.E. Core Values is part of the Village’s ongoing commitment to building a culture centered on professionalism, collaboration, innovation, and exceptional public service.

As Lake Hallie continues to grow, the Village believes these values will provide a lasting foundation for employees, elected officials, and future leaders while ensuring residents receive responsive, respectful, and high-quality municipal services.
