Pablo Center to Host Exciting FIRST Robotics Competition Offseason Event

[Eau Claire, WI] – Pablo Center at the Confluence is thrilled to announce that it will be hosting its second annual FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) offseason event on Saturday, August 16. This event promises to bring together some of the brightest young minds in robotics from across the region for a day of innovation, teamwork, and competitive spirit.

The FRC offseason event, known as the Leviathans Robotics Rampage, will feature high school teams who have participated in the official FIRST Robotics Competition earlier this year. These teams will have the opportunity to showcase their robots, refined strategies, and engineering prowess in a series of exciting alliance matches.

Event Highlights:

  • Robotic Matches: Watch as student-built robots go head-to-head in thrilling competitions.
  • STEM Activities: Engage in hands-on activities suitable for all ages with ARTmobile and students from FIRST LEGO League and Girls Who Code.
  • Pit Tours: Walk through robot pits to see how the teams prep and fix robots during a competition.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with FIRST Robotics mentors and students, Pablo Center staff, and college professionals passionate about robotics and STEM education. Learn about joining a team, starting a team, or becoming a mentor.

"We are excited to be able to bring back this robotics event for the second year," said Mary LaVenture, STEAM Programs Manager at Pablo Center. "This event aligns perfectly with our mission to foster innovation and education in our community. We hope to show the community the skill development and student growth this program can support. We look forward to witnessing the creativity and dedication of these young engineers."

The event is open to the public. Families, educators, and community members are encouraged to attend. Admission is free, and there will be plenty of opportunities to learn, interact, and be inspired by the next generation of innovators.
