February Monthly Recap

Reflecting on this month is eye opening! February was a busy month for the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber as we welcomed new members, held networking events and ribbon cuttings, a School2Skills tour and Leadership Session, attended Chippewa Valley Rally, and shared many exciting member updates through Chamber Connection! All we can say is thank you to all our members for another great month of collaboration and success!

Coffee & Commerce

Whirlybird Coffee Co. hosted our February Coffee & Commerce, sponsored by Cook Chiropractic. With one of our largest turnouts in quite some time, this cozy Coffee & Commerce brought new faces, and ones we haven't seen in awhile - thank you to everyone for attending!

School2Skills

Our February School2Skills program took Chippewa Falls Middle School students on tours of the CVTC Manufacturing Education Center, Nordson EDI, and the Chippewa Falls High School Tech Ed department. Students learned about manufacturing opportunities in our area, receiving hands-on experience taking them through the processes that local manufacturers go through to produce various parts and products. Thank you to our School2Skills partners for offering these exclusive learning opportunities to students.

This month, the Leadership Chippewa Falls class focused on Government as their learning topic which provided opportunities for participants to hear from key local government officials to develop a clear understanding of the judicial and governmental processes in our area. Leadership students visited City Hall, County Courthouse and the jail.

Business After Hours

Chippewa Falls Harley-Davidson hosted a well-attending Business After Hours with CCFBank and Chippewa Steel Hockey as co-sponsors. We connected with many new faces, visited with familiar faces, and networked with tasty food, and beautiful bikes surrounding us. Thank you to our host and sponsors for reminding us of the importance of community, collaboration, and support Chamber members can offer one another.

Chippewa Valley Rally

Chippewa Valley Rally celebrates 30 years and a record number of participants as the Chamber Alliance once again headed to Madison for a day of meetings with state legislators. A diverse group of business leaders from the Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, and Menomonie Chambers met with legislators to strengthen our area’s relationship with the state government to educate, influence, and thank these individuals on issues of importance to our area! Regional priority topics included critical investments in higher education, economic development and tax reform, workforce development, and infrastructure.
