ROYAL CREDIT UNION MEMBERS RE-ELECT TWO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Royal Credit Union (Royal) held its 62nd Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 28, at Royal’s Corporate Center. Two board members were re-elected to three-year terms— Nancy Beltz and Tom Huffcutt.  

  • Beltz has served onRoyal’s Board of Directors since 1999 and serves on the Finance C 
  • Huffcutt has served on Royal’sBoard of Directors since 2013, currently serves as Chairperson. He also chairs the Compensation/Governance Committee, the Political Action Committee, and the Nominating Committee. Huffcutt is also a Board Member for the RCU Foundation. 

In his Chairperson’s report, Huffcutt reflected on Royal’s 2025 performance and the Board’s continued responsibility to guide the credit union with discipline, transparency, and a long-term view.. As a Member-owned financial cooperative, Royal remains focused on financial strength, responsible growth, and delivering meaningful value to Members. In 2025, Royal reported a net worth ratio of 10.25%, compared with the 7% regulatory requirement for well-capitalized credit unions, and reached $5.8 billion in assets supported by continued growth in deposits and loans. Huffcutt emphasized that Royal’s continued success would not be possible without the trust and support of its Members, expressing sincere appreciation for the confidence they place in the credit union.  

Royal’s financial strength also allowed the credit union to continue investing in the ways Members choose to be served, including digital capabilities, in-person support, and trusted financial guidance.  Royal continued to advance its community impact in 2025. The RCU Foundation provided more than $1 million in grants to local organizations, and Royal’s financial education efforts reached more than 7,400 individuals and operated 30 student-run credit union offices supported by its School $ense program. Royal’s Board remains committed to sound governance, cooperative values, and decisions that help the credit union remain strong, relevant, and focused on improving Members’ financial well-being. 

At the Reorganization Meeting, Tom Huffcutt was elected Chairperson; Doug Olson was elected Vice Chairperson; Bill Blackburn was elected Treasurer; and Jennifer McDonough was elected Secretary.  Nancy Beltz, John Sackett, and Stuart Schaefer serve as Directors. Kris Petersen and Kristi Fox serve as Associate Board Members.  

Royal is grateful for the trust of its Members and proud of the progress made in 2025 to serve Members, strengthen communities, and advance its cooperative purpose.
