Pablo Center Hosts Wisconsin Science Festival This Friday: A Day of Discovery and Hands-On Exploration

Eau Claire, WI — October 17, 2025 — The Wisconsin Science Festival returns to downtown Eau Claire this Friday, bringing a full morning of hands-on exploration, creativity, and discovery to Pablo Center at the Confluence. From 10 a.m. to noon, families, students, and science enthusiasts of all ages are invited to experience a series of interactive exploration stations in the Pablo Center lobby, hosted by local organizations, robotics teams, and science educators.

This free community event celebrates curiosity, innovation, and collaboration—inviting participants to experience everything from robotics and art to astronomy and medical science. The event is part of the statewide Wisconsin Science Festival, a multi-day celebration of science and creativity across hundreds of Wisconsin communities.

Science Triangle of Exploration

In partnership with the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library and the Children’s Museum of Eau Claire, attendees can enjoy a “science triangle” of activities happening throughout the day at all three downtown locations:

  • Pablo Center: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Lobby exploration stations featuring ARTmobile, The Leviathans Robotics Team, RealityWorks, Mayo Clinic Health System, UW–Madison Astronomy, UW–Eau Claire Assistive Systems & Robotics Engineering, The Children’s Museum of Eau Claire, L.E. Phillips Library, Wildlands School, and more.
  • L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library: 1 – 2 p.m. | Beaver Creek Reserve presents a live reptile and amphibian show.
  • Children’s Museum of Eau Claire: 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. | Afternoon of hands-on science activities in the museum lobby.

Special Guest: Galaxy Scouts Creator Dr. Snezana Stanimirovic

The Pablo Center lobby will also welcome Dr. Snezana Stanimirovic, UW–Madison Astronomy Professor and developer of Galaxy Scouts—a comic book series that turns space exploration into a hands-on learning adventure. Visitors can meet Dr. Stanimirovic and the Galaxy Scouts team, create their own galaxy art, help decode a mission for the Curiosity Rover, or build a scaled model of our Solar System.
