Business After Hours
Leinenkugel's Leinie Lodge hosted our November Business After Hours with cozy holiday cheer to kick off the season! Co-sponsored by Market & Johnson, this event brought a great turnout of members, who enjoyed local brews and heard updates from Leinie Lodge and Market & Johnson. Thank you to these member businesses for providing this opportunity for our members to gather together.

Leadership Chippewa Falls - Community Service & Quality of Life
Our November Leadership Chippewa Falls session focused on community service, philanthropy and how to get invoved in the community. Many local facilities and amenities are made possible through philanthropic causes or individuals that in turn, add to the quality of life in our community. From a behind-the-scenes tour of Irvine Park Zoo, to volunteering packing pet bags for the humane association, and hearing from a panel of speakers, the class dug deep into what it means to contribute to a community. From there, the class headed to the Chippewa Area History Center to take a peek into our past, and what makes Chippewa Falls what it is today. Thank you to our session leaders, speakers, and tour guides for helping make this exclusive experience possible for our next set of leaders!

Schools2Skills - Emergency Services
In November, the Chamber's Schools2Skills career exploration program focused on Emergency Services. Middle school students from Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District visited the Chippewa Valley Technical College Emergency Services Education Center and learned about the programs offered that kick-start careers right here in the Chippewa Valley. From there, the group stopped at Chippewa Falls Fire and Emergency Services for a tour of Fire Station 1 from Chief Thom, learning about careers and training needed. Then, the day wrapped up at Chippewa Falls Police Department for a tour where students learned about the services provided by the police department, evidence collection and procedures, and were introduced to K-9 Leo. Thank you to our Chamber members and community partners that helped make this opportunity possible for students and helping fill our workforce pipeline.
