Stanley-Boyd Grazes to Victory at Chippewa County FFA Dairy Evaluation Clinic

Stanley-Boyd FFA dominated at the 2025 Chippewa County FFA Dairy Evaluation Clinic and taking home the title. Stanley-Boyd placed the top seven individual scorers during the judging contest. The clinic was held at Midnite Blu Registered Holsteins, Dale and Gloria Christoph farm, near Boyd. 28 students participated representing FFA Chapters from Cadott and Stanley-Boyd.

FFA Chapters in Chippewa County were invited to bring students with the top four scoring individuals from each chapter representing the team score. Each student judged four classes of dairy cattle and answered ten type analysis questions on the dairy cow and heifer classes. Students also participated in a dairy knowledge test and cheese flavor identification as part of the contest.

The Stanley-Boyd team of Neil Pilgrim, James Mahr, Trace Christoph, and Kylee Seidl averaged a winning score of 195.25 out of 240 potential points over a second place Cadott team of Josie Moucha, Aubrey Williams, April Tiegs, and Lorelai Puchalski with a score of 167.75.

Neil Pilgrim lead all scorers with 203 points followed by James Mahr 195, Trace Christoph 193, and Lylee Seidl 190. Other leading scorers included Lance Kelly and Uriah Herrick 188 points, and Brycelynn Dotson with 175 points. Cadott’s leading scorer was Josie Moucha with 175 points.

Scott Pralle from Selz-Pralle Dairy near Humbird served as the official judge for this year’s contest. Chippewa County DHIA Foundation with Chippewa County 4-H Leaders, Inc. sponsored team and individual awards. Other sponsors included Yellowstone Cheese, Chippewa County Dairy Promoters, and Kwik Trip.
