Chippewa Falls takes the Big Screen

Chippewa Falls resident and filmmaker Andrea Polnaszek is excited to bring her next project right here to her hometown.

With Wisconsin’s new film production tax incentive now in place, the timing is perfect to capture the heart and beauty of the Chippewa Valley on screen.

Andrea, working alongside her sister Alexandra Boylan (known together as The Boylan Sisters), will shoot a warm, coming-of-age holiday film set right here in Chippewa Falls. This family-friendly story will celebrate the magic of Christmas in our community — featuring cherished local landmarks, familiar streets, and the timeless spirit of the season that makes our town feel like home.

What this production will bring to Chippewa Falls:

  • Local crew and talent hired from the Chippewa Valley
  • World premiere at Micon Cinema in Chippewa Falls
  • National exposure that showcases our area and supports local tourism

Join us for an evening to learn about the project and see how you can be part of it.

Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. Micon Cinema – Chippewa Falls

The evening includes:

  • A special presentation by Andrea Polnaszek about the film
  • A screening of her beautiful short film featuring Irvine Park from last December
  • Appetizers and drinks in the bar area afterward

This is your opportunity to get involved — whether as a crew member, volunteer, sponsor, investor, or simply a supporter cheering us on.

We’d love to see you there!
